Poor David's Pub was cool before you were born. The dream and livelihood of "Poor" David Card has been continuously open (in several locations around Dallas) for more than four decades, and in that time, it's been the launch pad for Grammy Award winners and troubadour poets. Don't expect fancy finishes or pretense; PDP is a musician's venue, saving all the frills for the sound, stage and performances. It's the type of place where you will see "next big things" and "living legends" on back-to-back evenings, and that's what makes it so special.

Poor David's Pub is the granddaddy of Dallas’s intimate listening rooms, operating for OVER 40 years under the musically brilliant eye of owner David Card. Poor David's Pub has a long history of being a "listening room." More aptly put, people have come to respect this venue as a place where the main focus is always the performing artist.
