The Inwood Theatre opened in Dallas in 1947 when the landscape of the theater’s location on Lovers Lane wasn’t much but fields and open spaces. It’s a gem of a theater with an old-school feel and an experience that can’t be found at a corporate theater. Inwood has three auditoriums – the screening lounge downstairs and two other screens upstairs. The screening lounge at Inwood has armchairs, love seats, couches, ottomans and beanbags the size of kids’ swimming pools. The Inwood plays a mix of independent art flicks, foreign language films and mainstream movies. — From staff reports
