Watch 10-year-old from Fort Worth get $20,000 surprise from Ellen DeGeneres

Fort Worth kid Braden Baker fell on the floor when he heard he'd been invited to be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "That was just the best reaction ever," host Ellen DeGeneres told him when he appeared on the NBC show on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The 10-year-old told DeGeneres "you're my biggest inspiration" before he explained his story, that he was born 75 percent deaf and is now raising money for underprivileged kids who don't have the money for hearing aids. (An amusing side story: His dog chewed up his hearing aids -- and the dog's name is Chewy! -- so he understands the stress of not having hearing aids.) Braden started a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $1,000, and he's now up to more than $30,000.

For Braden's 11th birthday, in November, he'll be handing out more than 100 hearing aids to kids in Guatemala. I know, right?
