In honor of Memorial Day, these D-FW restaurants and attractions are offering  special deals and discounts to members of the military past and present. Offers are good on Monday, May 28, unless otherwise noted. Military ID is required.

Texas de Brazil

The Brazilian-American churrascaria, or steakhouse, offers a 50% meal discount for veterans and active duty military, and 20% off for up to six of their guests.  Find locations in Dallas, Addison and Fort Worth.  

Twin Peaks

Choose a complimentary entree from the Military Monday menu which includes Philly Cheesesteak, Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken Salad and more. Available for military members past and present. Find a location here.

This Canadian-themed diner, featured on the Food Network's Incredible Edible America for its over-the-top eats, has created the Decoration Day Burger. It'a a big -- really big -- salute to all who served and to the holiday's original name. Just try to get your hands around this: an angus patty, mozzarella cheese, English bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Canuck sauce in a bun topped with Mozzarella sticks and marinara on the side. The burger is $10.99 and will be on the menu Friday through Monday, May 25-28.

Zoes Kitchen

Veterans and active military can receive 10% off their meal at  Zoes Kitchen, a Mediterranean-inspired fast casual chain. The discount isn't just for Memorial Day, though, it's good anytime.  In addition, Zoes is offering a Memorial Day weekend special that is available to all guests. Anyone who buys two Fresh Take Tubs on May 25-28 will get the third one for free. The Tubs are to-go containers of popular sides including chicken, pasta and potato salads and hummus priced from $6.99 to $8.99. Find participating locations in Dallas, Addison, Coppell, Fairview, Frisco, Irving, Lewisville, Plano and Richardson.

4 DAY DEAL: Past or present military and first responders get free admission into the main garden on Friday through Monday, May 25-28. Enjoy the gardens, live music and family activities each day, $2 hot dogs and root beer floats.  

Hawaiian Falls

3 DAY DEAL: Splash around at Hawaiian Falls water parks in Garland, The Colony, Mansfield, Roanoke and Waco. Admission is free for active duty and veterans on Saturday through Monday, May 26-28. 

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie

On Sunday, May 27, watch and wager on live Thoroughbred races with free admission for all active military and veterans, $1 sodas, hot dogs and popcorn. Discounted food and drink is available on the first level only.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival

Active and retired military members are invited to march in the Grande Parade at 1 p.m. as the medieval festival closes out its 38th season on Memorial Day. Active duty military and up to 4 family members receive $4 off adult admission. Military discount is offered May 26-28 at the gate.

Memorial Day Pool Party at The Texas Pool

A Memorial Day swim party at the Texas-shaped pool is free for veterans, active-duty, first responders and teachers. Everyone else pays $1. Activities include pool games,  entertainment  and a National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. American Idol's Ron Bultongez and the Youth Trumpet and Taps Corps will perform, and Miss Plano Ashlee Gilchrist will be poolside. Buy treats at the snack bar or  bring a cooler (no alcohol, please). The grill will be hot.

Texas Rangers vs. Kansas City Royals 

4 DAY DEAL The Rangers, in partnership with, are saying "Thank you for your service" with special pricing for all four home games against the Royals, May 24-27. Military and first responders can purchase discounted tickets here.   You will be asked to complete a free registration to verify your eligibility. Pro tip: It's Star Wars Weekend at the ballpark May 25-26 with post-game fireworks on Friday and Han Gallo Bobblehead giveaway on Saturday.

As part of the Blue Star Museum coalition, several D-FW museums offer free admission to active duty military, including National Guard and reserve, and up to 5 of their family members from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
