Rowling's Wizarding World. Players will learn spells, explore their real world neighborhoods and cities to discover & fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies."

Presumably, Niantic will be building on the technology that drove Pokemon Go and their earlier game, Ingress, which tasked players with taking over specific real-world locations in a sci-fi setting.

TechCrunch posted the news first on Wednesday morning, but their story was short on details or much in the way of confirmation.

The game now has a website, though it currently only has a link to sign up for more information as it becomes available.
