When the official Hamilton Instagram account posted a cryptic "Wait For It" photo with the date 8.11.2017 this week, almost 100,000 people liked it. I did, too. What could it mean?! Was the show coming to more stages? Would there finally be a way for me to become best friends with Lin-Manuel Miranda?

Well, no. The announcement was that Hamilton has released an app, and it surpassed my (admittedly low) app expectations.

As someone who's currently jamming to "Helpless" and seeks out Lin videos on the reg, I'm always looking for more ways to add a little Ham to my day. But even if you're not at that level -- fair enough -- the app's features are surprisingly fun.

If you're lucky enough to be in Los Angeles, New York or Chicago, where the show is currently staged, you can enter the lottery directly from the app and set reminders for when the lottery is available. Lucky winners will nab $10 seats to a performance, with seats in rotating sections.

App users can also buy merch exclusively available on the app.

For day-to-day Ham engagement, the app has stickers and a #HamCam. You can pretend to be Angelica (or Peggy, if you're into that), and slap your face on the 10 dollar bill. The stickers include fan art and show lyrics, which I'm debating using as my exclusive form of communication moving forward.

Extra features are coming: karaoke tracks, augmented reality content and, best of all, access to exclusive blocks of tickets only available on the app, Variety reports. Maybe this will even apply when the show finally makes its way to Dallas for Dallas Summer Musicals' 2018-19 season? Guess we'll just have to wait for it.
