How to celebrate International Tabletop Day in Dallas-Fort Worth

It's an amazing time to be a fan of board and card games. That might sound odd if you're still limiting yourself to the Milton Bradley classics you grew up with, but tabletop gaming has grown far beyond Monopoly and Battleship.

Stroll into your local comic and games shop -- or, heck, your local Target -- and you'll find a wide variety of games for players of every age and taste. Do you want a complex, in-depth horror story like Betrayal at House on the Hill? Do you want to be the master of a railroad in Ticket to Ride? Maybe you and some fellow adults want to get raunchy with Cards Against Humanity.

Tabletop games have gotten so huge lately that in 2013, pop culture site Geek & Sundry created International Tabletop Day. This year's festivities fall on April 29, and several D-FW spots are participating with events.
