There will be a fourth 'Star Trek' movie, and Chris Hemsworth will be in it

Remember when Chris "Thor" Hemsworth was in the first film of the rebooted Star Trek universe, but died before the opening credits? (Spoilers, I guess?) Well, get ready to see him again.

Variety reports that Hemsworth, who played George Kirk (father of famed Captain James T. Kirk) is returning to the franchise for its just-announced fourth installment. Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot say that the movie's plot will deal with James (Chris Pine) and his father, saying he's, "a man [James] never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born."

The announcement comes four days before the theatrical release of Star Trek Beyond. The big stars from that movie — including Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl rban, John Cho and Simon Pegg — are all expected to return for the four. A notable absence will be Anton Yelchin, who tragically died in a car accident in June.
