Guide Geek: 'Supergirl' flies to the CW

Supergirl has managed to fly at least moderately high during its run on CBS, but the network has decided its ratings weren't as lofty as they had hoped. Rather than cancel the show, however, they're doing a cool thing and are moving it to The CW, where it will have its second season alongside Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The show has already crossed over with The Flash once, so this move makes a lot of sense from a story point of view, and it would be great if we could see Melissa Benoist in the Arrow-verse more often now that the shows are all on one network.

In related superhero TV news, NBC has picked up Powerless, which is a comedy set in the DC universe.  Now if ABC hadn't just made the horrible move of canceling Agent Carter, all would be right with the world.

Have you been missing out on Nintendo's latest and greatest handheld games? Starting May 20, it will be a bit easier to jump in. The company has announced a $20 price cut for their Nintendo 2DS system, dropping it down to $79.99.

Don't be fooled by the name: The 2DS plays nearly every game that works on the regular 3DS -- just in 2D instead of 3D. Which is good, because over the year the library of 3DS games has become quite impressive. And if you get bored of those? The 2DS is also backwards compatible with old Nintendo DS games.

20th Century Fox and Ubisoft finally gave us our first solid look at the Assassin's Creed movie this week by releasing its first trailer. In it we see Michael Fassbender as a new character to the series, both in a modern day setting and back in the time of the Spanish Inquisition.

It looks... Well, it looks a heck of a lot like Assassin's Creed, which might be a good thing in the end. We'll find out for sure when the movie hits theaters on December 21.
