Of course it would take a larger-than-life actor to play an actual god in American Gods, the Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman's seminal work.
Enter Ian McShane. The Hollywood Reporter says he'll "take on the central role of Mr. Wednesday," who's traveling to gather his pantheon for a brewing confrontation with new gods.
Ricky Whittle of the CW's 100 has already been cast as Shadow Moon, a choice Gaiman says he's thrilled about.
Filming is supposed to begin in April.
