Carrollton couple relives 'worst answer in game show history' on national TV with Jimmy Kimmel

Melinda Gardner from Carrollton made a dumb mistake on national TV, as a contestant of Wheel of Fortune. But she and husband Larry Gardner have a great sense of humor about it.

"I'm not sure if this is one of the worst answers in game show history or one of the best," says late-night show television host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

The Carrollton couple was given the Wheel of Fortune category "living things." In an answer that was so clearly "honeysuckle bush," Melinda blurts out "popsicle bike!"

He invited the couple from the Dallas suburbs to join him on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to 'splain themselves. They have to know Kimmel is going to rib them about the popsicle bike. And he does: "Have you ever been on a popsicle bike?" he asks her.

Of course she hasn't. Melinda panicked when she saw the "Wheel of Fortune" letters popping up and just said what came out of her mouth. Like you do.

Still in great spirits (perhaps because, according to Kimmel, the Gardners actually won money on that episode of Wheel,) the Gardners chuckl as Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez rolls out a life-sized bike made of popsicle sticks as a gift for the Gardners' gaffe. Props to Kimmel's props department for a pretty darn cool popsicle bike. Which now is a living thing.

"Don't ever ride it, or it will break immediately," Kimmel warns.
