What a coincidence: Michelle Obama sings that she's 'copywritten, so don't copy me' in Carpool Karaoke

Earlier this week, at the Republican National Convention, wife of Donald Trump and first lady hopeful Melania Trump was accused of plagiarizing portions of her speech from current first lady Michelle Obama.

Days later, Mrs. Obama appeared on Carpool Karaoke, a popular segment on the talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden in which the host and celebrity guests sing songs together in the car.

Coincidentally — or perhaps not — one of those songs was Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On," which contains the line, "Copywritten, so don't copy me." Elliott herself was also involved in that part of the video, which you can see below.

Now, we don't know for sure if this was as intentional burn directed at Trump. We don't even know if the infamous speech had happened yet when this segment was filmed.

But based on Missy Elliott's reaction in the back seat after that particular line is sung, there's a good chance they knew exactly what they were doing.

In addition to Elliott and some Beyonce, Obama and Corden also sang a bit of Stevie Wonder, who as we know from President Obama's recent visit to Dallas, Michelle loves.
