I hope it goes without saying, but just incase-- it's World Emoji Day, and no, it's not a coincidence that the calendar emoji is July 17.
In order to celebrate, here are some Texas themed puzzles to test your knowledge and communication skills using only emojis. You can find the answers at the bottom.
As great as the puzzles are, the emojis are lacking something big--Texas. Yes, there are Texas themed emojis from third party apps that feature our great state in symbols, but let's be honest, the functionality is sub-par and more reminiscent of sending an over-pixelated graphic. The sets they provide are a little less disappointing than CNN's 2016 Election "emoji," but not by much.
What the world needs is more Texas symbols to show our great Texan pride. Hopefully these would include the Texas flag, a bluebonnet flower, a taco, an outline of our great state, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, and a few others. Until then, these will have to do.
