Need weekend plans? We have you covered!

Are you ready for some... baseball?

Texas Live Grand Opening: Toadies / Eleven Hundred Springs

This weekend marks the opening of Texas Live!, the new entertainment complex near the Rangers ballpark in Arlington. This place is huge and home to numerous bars, restaurants, stages for live music and even mechanical bulls. Opening weekend, there will be concerts and opportunities to try the eats. Fort Worth alt-rockers The Toadies christen one of the venues there on Thursday night, with support from country group Eleven Hundred Springs. The music continues Friday night with indie rockers Bleachers and Joywave, and Saturday night with country singer Kip Moore. On Friday and Sunday, the venue hosts game day watch parties when the Texas Rangers take on the New York Yankees.

Need restaurant recommendations? Texas Live! has several famous names attached to it. Troy Aikman has a burger spot there called Troy's, TV personality Guy Fieri has a taco joint, and Pudge Rodriguez has a pizza kitchen. Bonus: The award-winning Balcones Distilling Co. out of Waco is opening a whiskey bar that I can't wait to try.
