Chess Camp

Camp 43

Ages: Students graduating from high school in 2017-19.

Where: George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, 2943 SMU Blvd., Dallas (on the SMU campus).

When: June 21-23. Three-day session, Wednesday-Thursday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Description: 25 students will be accepted for this camp, which focuses on the importance of developing leadership and decision-making skills. A highlight of Camp 43 is a real-time simulation in which students take on the roles of members of the president's administration and collaborate to resolve a crisis. Lunch, snacks and a formal Friday-evening dinner are provided.
