See $5 million of splish-splashing fun at the Gaylord Texan's upgraded water park in Grapevine

It's Summerfest at the Gaylord Texan, so that means plenty of fun for the family, 3D and 4D adventures and the grand opening of its new $5 million water park expansion at Paradise Springs.

So what's so special about this water park?

Well, the park spans about 10-acres, and is packed to the brim with splash pads, slides and more. There's a 600-foot long lazy river, a huge lagoon sporting a walk-in beach, two "hot pools," a 27-foot water slide and even a designated toddler pool for the kiddos. And that's all before the expansion.

Starting this summer, the park will sport a $5 million "water play structure," with three large water slides, more seating for the family and plenty of room for activities. At SoBe Splash Parties, the water park's special events, attendees can expect hair braiding, temporary tattoos and a live DJ.
