Strip down to your underpants at the Undy Run in Arlington Nov. 14

Finally: An event where you don't have to wear pants.

For the modest ones among us: You can wear pants, then put undies over top.

You do have to wear underpants, though. That's the deal at the DFW Undy Run/Walk, taking place Nov. 14 at Levitt Pavilion in Arlington.

Plenty of attendees wear normal running gear, it should be said, and then sport any style of underwear over top. Many come in capes, tutus and other dress-up garb, too. Attendees also receive a free pair of boxer shorts for participating either in the 1-mile fun run or the 5K.

The event was designed to bring awareness to colorectal cancer, which has affected about 140,000 Americans this year, according to The American Cancer Society. The Undy Run isn't only about being silly in your skivvies.

A $20 to $40 ticket supports, in part, the Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers and research initiatives for the Colon Cancer Alliance.

After the race, participants can walk through an inflatable colon, if you dare. "This educational inflatable is a unique way for visitors to get up close and personal with the disease," says a press release.
