MegaFest brings Hollywood to Dallas with its International Faith and Family Film Festival

Faithful film fans can find a festival built just for them within MegaFest, which starts Aug. 19.

Ten films from around the world will take center stage, including Oscar nominee David Oyelowo's Captive, during The International Faith and Family Film Festival.

Inspiring speakers such as actor-author Hill Harper and husband-and-wife team Mark Burnett (Survivor) and Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel), who produced popular TV series The Bible and A.D. The Bible Continues, will participate in a new film fest feature called "Morning Inspiration." The film festival will include panel discussions, master classes, and informational sessions.

MegaFest founder T.D. Jakes has become a go-to Hollywood film producer (Black Nativity, Sparkle, Jumping the Broom), perhaps unintentionally making it a cornerstone of his ministry; it was only fitting when his then-9-year-old MegaFest added a film component in 2013.
