Folks flocked to Bishop Arts District Sunday to get a taste of more than 30 different margaritas prepared by Dallas-area restaurants at a drinking festival known as Margarita Meltdown.
Now in its fifth year, Margarita Meltdown has grown into a highly popular event, which is likely why it sold out of tickets despite the threat of bad weather. The outside soiree isn't just about sampling though -- attendees vote for their favorite recipe and the winner earns the title of Dallas' best marg for one year. This year, that honor went to Pie 314 in Lewisville for a Dippin' Dots margarita.
