If you'd rather stay inside: Catch an indoor concert this weekend, like Bonnie Raitt Saturday night and Nico & Vinz Sunday night.
But you don't want to miss Homegrown Festival! We don't blame you; it's one of the best music festivals all year in Dallas. Check the weather, then head out in your galoshes to see Spoon and the Old 97's (weather permitting).
You're into craft beer: Hey, we are, too! The Dallas Morning News part-owns Untapped festival, and it kicks off in Fort Worth on Saturday. There'll be great brews and great tunes. (See the beer list here.) Again: Bring a poncho.
Can't forget about mom: Here's a list of places to take her for brunch. Or, hit up a cool new West Dallas market and wine bar, grab some to-go food and prepare it at home for Mommy Dearest.
One last idea: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' final round of auditions are Saturday morning. If you buy a ticket to tour AT&T Stadium between 9 a.m. and noon, you can likely see part of those auditions.
