Marky Mark’s Wahlburgers restaurant opens Oct. 28 at The Star in Frisco

Mark Wahlberg and his funky bunch of a family are bringing their Wahlburgers restaurant chain to Texas for the first time.

Wahlberg announced at Dallas Cowboys training camp on Saturday that Wahlburgers will open its first Texas location at The Star in Frisco. The restaurant and bar is set to open Oct. 28, 2019.

Mark founded Wahlburgers with brothers Donnie and Paul, and it now has 32 locations, according to a press release. Executive chef Paul Wahlberg curated the menu, which features made-to-order burgers, sandwiches and a full-service bar.

The restaurant was founded in 2011 and was the focus of A&E show, Wahlburgers, which was on air for 10 seasons. The Star in Frisco is the Dallas Cowboys World Corporate Headquarters and Training Facility and features restaurants and retailers such as Mi Cocina, Cow Tipping Creamery and Cane Rosso.

While attending a Dallas Cowboys practice, Wahlberg said he is a huge sports fan and opening the Texas location in tandem with the Dallas Cowboys is “icing on the cake."
