Goodfriend Package, a sandwich shop in East Dallas, is closed temporarily on Monday, June 3 after a grease fire.

Co-owner Josh Yingling says he and his crew contained the fire and that no fire extinguishers were used.
"It's not the way I wanted to wake up this morning," says Yingling, who got the call at about 5:45 a.m. He also co-owns Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House across the street, also on Peavy Road.
He reports that no one was hurt.
The grease fire took place underneath the flat top, which is used to warm sandwiches and cook eggs, sausage and bacon. "We cook everything on it," Yingling says.
Cultivar Coffee, which serves drinks inside the same storefront, was unaffected and remained open.
Goodfriend Package is located at 1155 Peavy Road, Dallas.
