Dog Haus Biergarten is expanding from Richardson into Arlington and then to Lake Highlands. The restaurant is planned to open in Arlington Highlands in late summer, according to a press release, and in Lake Highlands in late 2019.
Dog Haus just made news last week by announcing that it has partnered with Dos Equis Pavilion to open a hot-dog stand inside the Dallas music venue.
The restaurant is a franchise that first landed in North Texas in 2017. Dog Haus restaurants are located in more than a dozen states across the U.S.
Dog Haus is known for its hot dogs with funny names, like the Chili Idol (a chili-cheese dog with onions) and the Reservoir Hog (a kielbasa with chili, cole slaw and mustard). The wordplay continues with the restaurant's list of burgers and chicken sandwiches.
Dog Haus also sells the Impossible Burger, a vegan plant-based patty that can be found at hundreds of restaurants in the U.S.
The local branches of Dog Haus come from franchisee Ron Ryan, a Dallas resident.
"Our Richardson location has been a huge hit, so expanding in Dallas-Fort Worth was a no-brainer," Ryan says in a statement. "We couldn't be more excited to introduce our chef-driven gourmet creations to everyone in Arlington and beyond."
The new Dog Haus in Arlington will be at 4000 Bagpiper Way, Arlington, and is expected to open in late summer 2019. The Lake Highlands restaurant will be at 7100 Wildcat Way, Dallas, and is expected to open later in 2019.
