Applebee's Dollarita has become Texas' summer fling. Each sweltering season since 2016, this cheap drink deal has met Texans as a respite for the weather.
Now the restaurant chain is adding a twist.
Applebee's is offering a strawberry version of its house marg for just $1 throughout the month of August.
The 10-ounce drink is a combination of tequila, strawberry and margarita mix, according to a statement. This is the first time Applebee's has offered a strawberry margarita, says spokesman Derek Farley.
The Strawberry Dollarita is available Applebee's 64 locations in Austin, East Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Waco and the surrounding areas. So even if you spent all your money on summer vacations, you can scrape together some change to catch a buzz until Aug. 31.
