Doughnut shop with a funky name – and beer – now open in Fort Worth's Sundance Square

FunkyTown Donuts & Drafts, a family-owned shop that sells a colorful combination of doughnuts and beer, opened its second Fort Worth shop on July 22.

It's Fort Worth's second FunkyTown Donuts & Drafts; the first is located in the Hospital District. FunkyTown No. 2 is at 132 E. Fourth St., in Fort Worth's Sundance Square.

It's a teeny place, just over 1,200 square feet, that serves glazed doughnuts of all kinds and sizes. (Including mini doughnuts. Cute.) There's The Chipper, a chocolate glazed doughnut topped with potato chips, that sounds delicious; so does the Bramble Berry: a blackberry-lemonade glazed doughnut topped with blackberries and lemon zest.

Eventually, the shop will sell gluten-free and vegan doughnuts on Wednesdays and Sundays -- but those come a little bit later.

Go any time of day and FunkyTown is pouring draft beer and coffee to pair with doughnuts.
