You can't eat there on Sundays. That's your clue.

Yep: Chick-fil-A was named No. 1 in its category of "limited-service restaurants" in 2018 by the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

Just in time, too. July 6 is National Fried Chicken Day. If this is your version of a national holiday, check out a collection of great chicken recipes.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index is a nationwide evaluation of 250,000 people's preferences, according to its report. Their aim is to calculate customer satisfaction in many areas, restaurants included. The report is full of interesting tidbits, like this one: "Americans spend more than half of their food budget on dining out." Sorry, grocery stores. And this: "Millennials spend more money dining out than any other demographic group, and smaller chains are doing a good job of satisfying them."

On a scale from 0 to 100, Chick-fil-A ranked No. 1 in its category with a score of 87. The limited-service restaurants that follow it are, in order: Panera Bread (score of 81); Papa John's and Pizza Hut (tied at 80); Subway (80), Arby's (79), Chipotle Mexican Grill (79) and Domino's (79).

Coffee giants Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks tied, with a score of 78.

Fast-food joints like Wendy's, Burger King, Jack in the Box and McDonald's fall below the brands mentioned above. Says the report: "Over the past three years, the four burger chains have exhibited flat -- or nearly flat -- customer satisfaction."
