Update on July 5 at 10:45 a.m.: Earlier this week, Texas staple Blue Bell teased their summer game plan to bring back fan favorite ice cream flavors. Their first play? Fudge Bars, which memorably featured a generic coach on the front of the box.

Blue Bell says that Fudge Bars are back in stores starting today, and we've already heard from one chain (Kroger) that this is indeed the case.

Bell Bell, full stomach, can't lose.

Original story: Is your favorite Blue Bell ice cream flavor a thing of the past? Good news! Well, maybe. The beloved Texas creamery is teasing the return of fan favorite flavors in July for National Ice Cream Month (which is, apparently, a thing?), but they haven't actually said what those flavors are.

"Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Blue Bell!" the company said on social media. "We're bringing back some of your favorite flavors to make things even sweeter. Stick with us to find out what is headed to stores next!"

Blue Bell is back in Texas, and everyone makes the same Twitter joke

Blue Bell told ABC13 in Houston that it will bring back a flavor on July 5. "We've been working hard and know our fans will be pleased," they told the station, which is one of the least informative company statements in recent history. Will the guy on Twitter begging for the Tin Roof flavor to come back be pleased? How about the many people asking for Homemade in the Shade? Or perhaps pineapple? And then when the flavor comes back, will it only be available for a short time before its biggest fans are heartbroken again?

This announcement-of-an-announcement gives off strong IHOB vibes, so hopefully the endgame is worth the wait.

If you don't want to wait until after Independence Day to get your ice cream fix, Blue Bell already released a few summery flavors for a limited time: Peaches & Homemade Vanilla, Southern Blackberry Cobbler and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough.
