Taco Diner on Belt Line Road in Addison has permanently closed. The parent company M Crowd Restaurant Group, Inc. will open a new Taco Diner in Lake Highlands in mid-May, according to a press release. It will be located at Skillman and Walnut Hill Lane.

M Crowd operates Taco Diner, the Mercury in Dallas and the nearly two-dozen Mi Cocinas across North Texas. Once the Lake Highlands Taco Diner opens, D-FW will be home to eight of those restaurants.

Taco Diner serves Mexico City-inspired cuisine, with dishes such as ceviche, carne asada, brisket enchiladas and the like. Its margaritas, sangrias and Mambo Taxis (that's margarita + sangria) are popular.
