Doughnut shop with a funky name – and beer – now open in Fort Worth's Sundance Square

FunkyTown Donuts & Drafts, a family-owned shop that sells a colorful combination of doughnuts and beer, opened its second Fort Worth shop on July 22.

This story has been updated to reflect the opening date.

It's Fort Worth's second FunkyTown Donuts & Drafts; the first is located in the Hospital District. FunkyTown No. 2 is at 132 E. Fourth St., in Fort Worth's Sundance Square.

It's a teeny place, just over 1,200 square feet, that serves glazed doughnuts of all kinds and sizes. (Including mini doughnuts. Cute.) There's The Chipper, a chocolate glazed doughnut topped with potato chips, that sounds delicious; so does the Bramble Berry: a blackberry-lemonade glazed doughnut topped with blackberries and lemon zest.

Eventually, the shop will sell gluten-free and vegan doughnuts on Wednesdays and Sundays -- but those come a little bit later.

Go any time of day and FunkyTown is pouring draft beer and coffee to pair with doughnuts.
