New kolache shop is now open near TCU and Tanglewood in Fort Worth

A new breakfast pastry shop called Pearl Snap Kolaches has opened on Hulen Street in Fort Worth, co-owner Wade Chappell confirms.

Pearl Snap Kolaches also sells cinnamon rolls.

Kolaches are sweet yeast buns baked with fruit in the middle. They're often sold with klobasniky, or meat-filled pastries. This delicious Czech tradition, which can be seen in Czech-influenced towns like West, Texas, has become popular among Texans.

Back to Fort Worth: Pearl Snap Kolaches has operated on White Settlement Road for several years, but Chappell told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram he was searching for the right address close to TCU and Tanglewood for a second shop. That new Hulen Street shop just opened Dec. 2.

Of note, the restaurant on White Settlement Road also sells tacos and kolache burgers -- which are kolache buns sandwiching a beef patty. (Yes!) You'll have to wait a bit to get tacos and kolache burgers on Hulen Street, however. Pearl Snap Kolaches on Hulen Street for now is selling cinnamon rolls, kolaches and klobasniky only.
