Dallas Tex-Mex restaurant El Fenix is 99 years old. How will you celebrate this spicy gal's 100th in 2018?
Back in the here and now, El Fenix restaurant near downtown Dallas is celebrating the 99th birthday by selling 99-cent cheese enchilada plates on Thursday, Sept. 14. (That's one cent more than last year's deal, and two cents more than the year before that. There's a "99" theme, see, and that's still one heck of a deal.)
The cheese enchilada plate comes with two cheese enchiladas topped with chile con carne and rice and beans on the side. The deal's good for dine-in customers only at the flagship El Fenix, at 1601 McKinney Ave., across the street from the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. That line? Those are folks waiting on cheap enchiladas.
The El Fenix near downtown Dallas will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14.
