Get a free burger at Stan's Blue Note in Dallas Sunday

If you've lived in Dallas awhile, chances are you've stumbled across the charming white brick dive bar on Lower Greenville called Stan's Blue Note. It's been around since 1952, after all.

Stan's tells us that Sunday, May 28, is National Hamburger Day, and we're inclined to believe them. Especially since they're handing out juicy, meaty burgers for free.

To get one, bring your phone and show the promotion on the Stan's Facebook page. The offer is limited to about 150 burgers, while supplies last, so get there early -- like, before 1 p.m., which is when Stan's kitchen opens on Sundays, a rep confirms. The bar and nice new patio open at 11 a.m.

The National Burger Day promotion is good for dine-in orders only, and fries or other sides aren't included, but they are available for purchase, as are all items on the regular menu.

More good news: On Monday, veterans with a military ID will receive a free appetizer in honor of Memorial Day. That promotion is good for any app on the menu, one per ID and for dine-in only. Stan's opens at 4 p.m. on Monday, and happy hour runs from 4-7 p.m., a rep notes.
