Steel yourselves: Dallas restaurant will offer free sushi for women on Thursday nights

As a general rule, sushi is expensive. Sure, you may have a go-to grocery counter with an affordable selection for the occasional hankering -- we're not judging -- but a night out on the town for a sushi sophisticate can be a big financial investment.

There's no minimum amount one has to spend or other stipulations on the beverage selection; both alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks count for the deal. (If you do partake in adult bevs, please check out this scrumptious-looking sake flight. Oh, mama.)

Ladies' night is just one of many changes the popular restaurant has recently undergone.

A fan favorite since it opened in 2000, Steel recently underwent an extensive renovation, which included updates to its interior and expanded patio space. The menu was tweaked, as well, by newly appointed executive Chef Tysun Thomas. The Dallas Observer wrote about those changes in detail earlier this month.
