So & So's, a bar and restaurant in Dallas, will close after service on Monday, May 15 to "make way for a new concept coming in late June or early July," said co-owner Brandon Hays.

Opened in 2014 in the space formerly Primo's Tex Mex, So & So's became a hot spot for late-night revelers in the Uptown neighborhood. When it opened, chef Nick Amoriello was at the helm in the kitchen and our dining critic Leslie Brenner called his food "more sophisticated than what you'd expect" in a two-star review. Amoriello went on to serve as executive sous chef at Rapscallion and resident chef at Kitchen LTO.

According to Hays, the new concept that will fill the So & So's space on McKinney Avenue will be a joint venture between This & That Concepts (High Fives, Whippersnapper) and SBBC Hospitum (Pilikia, Truth and Alibi, the Tipsy Alchemist). He offered no details about what it may be except that it's expected to open this summer.
