Results are in! Torchy's Tacos sells D-FW's best bowl of queso, you say

Thanks for casting your vote for your favorite place for queso in Dallas-Fort Worth. After 5,000 votes, Torchy's Tacos has been declared the winner.

Is there anything better than a bowl of queso?

One avid queso eater puts it eloquently: "Queso is pretty much prime time for me. It is what I love." That's Shana Hagemeyer, the D-FW woman who won a queso eating contest in Dallas in 2015 and is pictured with that goofy grin in the photo to the right. We mean, really: Is there anything better than a good bowl of queso?

Or with:

"I have the word queso on my license plate. I'm that serious. This is a research project of my life," says Delia Jo Ramsey. Delia, we want to meet you.

And a +1 to James Mcmurray, who may or may not have been joking when he said, "This is the most important question that the main stream media refuses to ask. Respeck." Thanks, man.

It's important for us to mention that our own Leslie Brenner isn't a fan of the Tex-Mex standard. Our restaurant critic said in late 2016: "I've never been a fan of the insipid melted processed cheese concoction that passes for an appetizer in Tex-Mex restaurants from here to El Paso and back. Yes, I know many (most?) Texans consider it an essential comfort food. I consider it to be a baby-food version of Mexican food."

Gasp.
