Wednesday, April 12 is National Grilled Cheese Day, and the beloved Norma's Cafe is offering free classic grilled cheese sandwiches to celebrate. Dine-in guests can take advantage of the deal from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at locations in Dallas at Park Lane, Frisco, Oak Cliff and North Dallas.
Norma's Cafe will also be serving a specialty grilled cheese sandwich called Gabe's Big Tasty, which is made with Texas toast, cheddar cheese, buffalo sauce, mayonnaise, chicken, mac and cheese, jalapeños and bacon. It was created by a fan of the restaurant and voted the most enticing by others online. That sando, however, costs $9.99.
Norma's Cafe has been a Dallas institution for more than six decades. A new location in Plano, near 15th Street and North Central Expressway, is expected to open this summer.
