Chef Misti Norris, formerly of dining hot spots FT33 and Small Brewpub, also wowed crowds with her "dirty" sticky rice, a pocket of white rice filled with pork tongue, tail, trotter, and skin, and garnished with crunchy puffed Texas grains and fermented veggies. If you're wondering where you can try her dishes, which our dining critic Leslie Brenner has called "as delicious as they are daring," Norris confirmed she hasn't landed at any specific restaurant just yet. She will be hosting pop-up dinners around Dallas soon, though, so keep up with her on Facebook to find out where and when.

Couple the food and drinks with the picturesque spring weather, and Shaken + Stirred was undoubtedly a hit.

Community Brunch at the Dallas Farmers Market

Community Brunch at the Dallas Farmers Market showcased chefs and restaurants in the Market food hall. The casual format was perfect for a slow Sunday stroll.

Bountiful bite-sized offerings included chilaquiles from Taqueria La Ventana, a tuna nacho from Rex's Seafood, a cheese sampling from Scardello, eggplant bruschetta from Bellatrino, a lemon basil oolong tea-infused chicken bone broth from Stocks & Bondy, and cream-filled pastries from Palmieri Cafe. Mudhen Meat and Greens also had a booth on its covered patio featuring baked migas with green chili pulled pork and a Champagne cocktail.

Patrons buzzed around the food hall, hung out in the cocktail area out front, and shopped for seasonal produce and artisan goodies in the open-air shed.
