Look inside Wheelhouse, the first of three new Design District restaurants now open

The Design District in Dallas is home to Town Hearth, the Meddlesome Moth, FT33, Peticolas Brewing Co.Ascension Coffee and the Slow Bone. And that's just naming a few. Soon, Headington, the company that re-developed the Joule hotel in downtown Dallas, will open more Design District restaurants in one of the city's hottest food'n'drink neighborhoods.

Wheelhouse is the first open. A press release describes Wheelhouse as a "modern American gastropub" and will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. It will have "guillotine-style windows," which sound more fatal than they hopefully are. Diners inside Wheelhouse can look at Moving Figure, a sculpture made by artist Daniel Arsham that sits nearby.

Sassetta is expected to open in April; Go Go does not have an opening date set yet.
