Amazing: Lines were not terrible on opening day at Shake Shack in Plano

Expect long lines for cheeseburgers and milkshakes.

Plano is officially, again, the buzziest suburb in Dallas-Fort Worth.

New York City burger joint Shake Shack opened in Plano, at the Legacy West development, on Wednesday, March 29.

And amazingly, patrons didn't have to wait too long for their burgers when it opened its doors at 11 a.m.

Or with:

Shake Shack's first-in-D-FW burger joint opened in Uptown Dallas in 2016. Opening day was pretty nuts. As burger fans waited patiently in a long line, customer Marisa Martinez told our Tiney Ricciardi, "I have reached nirvana, finally."

(Burger places tend to stir the emotions of hungry people. Remember when one woman, Danielle DeInnocentes, cried into her burger when In-N-Out's first shop opened in Dallas-Fort Worth?)

The Shake Shack at Legacy West is but one of a fleet of interesting restaurants opening at that high-dollar development. Eventually, it will be home to a Sprinkles cupcakes, Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouse, Toulouse French restaurant, True Food Kitchen healthy spot and many more. There's also an entire food hall that will have a three-story brewery and some pretty impressive star chef talent.

Plano's Shake Shack will sell the usual fare made famous by this NYC burger place: hamburgers and cheeseburgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, and milkshakes and custards.

Most Shake Shacks sell a few regionally-specific dishes to make the hometown folks proud. In Plano, the fast-casual restaurant will serve special frozen custard concretes including the Top Twirl -- chocolate custard, bananas, fudge sauce and miso-caramel cake made at Top Knot in Uptown Dallas -- and the Pie Oh My -- vanilla custard mixed with a slice of blueberry pie from Emporium Pies, which has shops in Deep Ellum, McKinney and Oak Cliff. Five percent of sales from the Pie Oh My will go to Children's Medical Center Dallas.

Shake Shack in Plano will also sell the Link Burger, a cheeseburger with a jalapeno-cheese sausage link from Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum.
