Actor David Hasselhoff wants to have a cup of "hoffee" with you. For The Hoff, that'll be a vanilla or a caramel latte.
For you, there's a full drink menu at XO Coffee Company in Plano that includes cold-brewed nitro coffee on tap, Seraphim Chemex pour-overs, Americanos and cappuccinos. Hasselhoff comes free of charge for paying customers: The Baywatch actor will meet fans, sign autographs and "possibly get behind the bar and help make some drinks" at XO Coffee Company on March 28 from 4-7 p.m., says co-owner Linda McCall.
The Hoff is doing a favor for a family member, you could say. Hasselhoff's nephew, David Martin, co-owns XO Coffee with his wife McCall. Hasselhoff agreed to visit the new shop and help introduce it to Plano coffee drinkers.
XO Coffee Company is a full-service breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Plano that sells quiche, breakfast tacos, salads and sandwiches. The baristas make coffee from Novel Coffee Roasters beans; that's a Dallas-area company that also sells coffee beans to local spots like Dallas restaurant Proof + Pantry, Denton bar Harvest House, and Oak Cliff shop Bolsa Mercado, among others.
The husband-wife duo hopes XO is "a place that was fun and inviting for anybody." It also sounds like a great place for The Young and the Restless and Knight Rider superfans.
XO Coffee Company is located at 1023 E. 15th St., Plano.
