6 amusing ways to score free pizza (or pie) in D-FW on Pi Day, March 14 

Eateries in Dallas-Fort Worth are offering great deals on pizza (and other pies) on March 14. That’s the important thing to know. To understand why, we must dig a little deeper.

How much high school math do you remember? Hopefully enough to appreciate the unofficial math-food holiday known as Pi Day. Pi, you may (or may not) remember is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. What does this have to do with pies, you ask? Well, my friends, you can’t spell “pizza” or "pie" without “pi.” Stick with me:

A pie is a circle. Pi measures circles. Pi is 3.14, and turned into a date, that's March 14. See?

So, go score some pie and contemplate the infinite nature of pi. Mathematicians have calculated more than one trillion digits of the number, so you’ve got a lot to think about (and eat).

Blaze Pizza is offering $3.14 pizzas (limit one per guest) in-store only at participating locations. Customers can also follow Blaze Pizza on Facebook Live or view the chain's Snapchat story on March 14 for a chance to win free pizza. Four locations: 841 E. For those more interested in the dessert version of pi(e), Norma's Cafe is donating a portion of all sales on March 14 to the School for the Talented and Gifted's robotics team, and there will be in-store giveaways at all four locations.
