Take a look inside Carlo's Bakery, the 'Cake Boss' shop now open in Frisco

The star of 'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro moved his first made-for-TV bakery to Texas in March 2016. People are already in line for the second Carlo's Bakery in Texas, which opens in Frisco Feb. 4.

Carlo's Bakery, the retail shop from the family behind TLC show Cake Boss, now has locations all over the U.S. and even one in Brazil. And yet: The opening of the Carlo's Bakery in Dallas in 2016 was the brand's biggest -- "hands down," says spokeswoman Nicole Valdes.

We love our Italian pastries (and our Italian TV stars), it seems.

At 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, North Texans can visit a new Carlo's Bakery, this one inside Stonebriar Center in Frisco. It's a teeny space: just 300 square feet.

"Can't wait to be back in Texas, baby!" said Cake Boss TV star Buddy Valastro in a statement.

The Frisco shop will sell the bakery's signature lobster rolls, cannolis, cheesecakes and other sweets. They will not be making the outrageous, often oversized cakes you've seen on the TV show Cake Boss.

If the Dallas opening is any indication, this will be one for the record books. In Dallas in March, an incredible 7,000 people lined up on Day One. Valastro stayed up until 3 a.m. with fans, signing autographs.

Valdes called the outpouring of support for Carlo's Bakery "absolutely incredible."

"We're still blown away by it," she says.

In Frisco, about 5,000 people are expected to line up. Stonebriar Centre's security team spent much of the day Feb. 3 setting up turnstiles to keep the thousands of people in orderly lines.

The first overnight camper was already in place about 18 hours before the Frisco shop opened. Meet Michele Tate:

The bakery is located in "center court," on the bottom level of Stonebriar Centre in the middle of the mall. The closest mall entrances to Carlo's Bakery are near Dave & Buster's or at Nordstrom.

'Cake Boss' star Buddy Valastro will be on site in Frisco, signing autographs for free on Saturday, Feb. 4. Pack your patience; lines will likely be long.

The new shop in Frisco means there are two Carlo's Bakeries in Texas, both in Dallas-Fort Worth. A third, in the Woodlands, opens soon.
