North Dallas pub Jack Mac's celebrates four years and you don't want to miss it

If you're already a fan of Jack Mac's Swill and Grill in North Dallas, you know the booze is all Texas-made, and the food is fancy and fun. If you're not already a regular at this place, you'll become one after attending this event. Jack Mac's soon celebrates four years of business.

It's hard enough to find a place in Far North Dallas with a genuinely good tap list, but Jack Mac's is a place you can take your non-beer friends for wonderful spirit infusions, cocktails and wines. Your foodie friends will enjoy the ridiculous recipes Jack comes up with.

"Wow, when we opened four  years ago, there was 42 breweries in the state, maybe five to six in D-FW. Now over 200 and over 50 respectively." - Jack MacDonald, owner of Jack Mac's Swill and Grill

  • Music features Aaron Burton Blues and Roots at 3 p.m., and the Good Kind at 5 p.m.
  • Food specials include beer braised short rib with a natural jus; pickled cauliflower; gingered butternut squash puree; confit chicken wings, with a sweet and spicy island toss; spinach and artichoke stomboli bites; and house Scotch eggs, wrapped in habanero sausage with habanero ranch.
  • Beer options include Rahr and Sons Brewing's Bourbon Barrel Winter Warmer; Lakewood Brewing's Mole Temptress, Lion Share III and IV; Peticolas  Brewing's Duke 2014, plus a special keg; and 903 Brewers' Cherry Blonde.

Be sure you’re hungry for an amazing lunch with lots of great beers, and bring your friends and family -- parking is plentiful. Kids are allowed and pups are allowed on the patio, but there’s very limited space, so plan accordingly.
