If you missed your chance (or if you went every night — no judgment here), you've got another month to enjoy $1 margaritas at Applebee's. And just like during July, there's no purchase necessary to order these 10 ounce on-the-rocks beverages.
Applebee's began offering the Dollarita in July, and sales of this popular summer drink shot up. In fact, the drink was so popular that Chris Dharod, Chief Operating Officer of Apple Texas Group (a franchisee of Applebee's) challenged the country to save the Dollarita by liking the Facebook page. 50,000 likes would extend the offer through August, Dharod said.
Almost 59,000 likes later, the Dollarita's been saved.
In addition, 100% of Dollarita sales on Wednesday, August 10 will go to The Assist the Officer Foundation, an organization which provides financial assistance to officers facing loss of income due to a catastrophic event.
"Giving back to our communities is a huge part of what Applebee's is all about, and in Texas we want to show the men and women who protect our communities how much we appreciate what they do for us every single day," Dharod said in a statement.
