The sandwich chain is hosting its first nationwide Customer Appreciation Day, which means steep discounts on a number of sandwiches. Stop by a participating Jimmy John's location on May 2 between 4 and 8 p.m. and pay just $1 for a sub.

The fine print
The deal is only available for in-store purchases, so it's not applicable to delivery, online or call-ahead pick-up orders.
Not every menu item is discounted; just sandos No. 1-6, the BLT and "slims." And if you want to cut carbs, the shop will let you upgrade to a lettuce wrap, known as an "unwich," for no additional cost. Want wheat? Be prepared to pay extra, though that stipulation varies from location to location.
Patrons can only order one sandwich at a time, but Jimmy John's isn't trying to kid you.
If you would like more than one $1 sub, you can go through the line as many times as you like or invite your whole group to the store, confirmed a company spokesman.
