It worked: As of Jan. 18, 2017, all stores nationwide began selling the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr. on Jan. 18, D-FW stores included.

As a refresher, the Big Mac has -- sing it! -- two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame bun. The Grand Mac, then, is also made with two all-beef patties, each 1/6 pound, with two slices of cheese and a bigger bun. The price in 2016 was $4.89, though stores can choose their own pricing.

The Mac Jr. has just one beef patty -- a "single-layer Big Mac," the company describes in a statement. It generally costs $2.39 to $2.59, according to 2016 figures, though pricing depends on the store.

To celebrate the two new Macs, there's a Big Mac party from noon to 2 p.m. at McDonald's at 11102 N. Central Expressway in Dallas, where the first 100 people in line get a free Big Mac.
