Close out National Grilled Cheese Month with Ruthie's smoky limited-edition sandwich, available April 27-30

National Grilled Cheese Day is a big deal in D-FW. It might seem odd at first; sure, you associate Texas with margaritas or barbecue, but April is the kindest month for those who can't get enough gooey, melty goodness. In fact, Ruthie's Rolling Cafe thinks the celebration should not be limited to April 12 alone. The food truck fleet is offering a whole 30 days worth of goodies and surprises.

First, Ruthie's is offering a special sandwich for each week in April. We'll update you here each Saturday with an exclusive first look at the coming week's sandwich.

As promised, here's the newest flavor of the week: The Smoke Show, that's pulled pork, smoked gouda, smoked provolone, smoked cheddar and golden barbecue sauce -- which you can grab at Klyde Warren Park between April 27-30.

But, that's just the beginning. Ruthie's is also planning to roll into a number of local businesses for a series of surprise grilled cheese parties. There's no way of knowing ahead of time when they will show or where they're headed, but keep your fingers crossed you're among the lucky ones.

Even if you're not, you can still get in on the giveaway game. Sharing certain Facebook posts can earn you a free sandwich -- you'll have to follow them daily to know which posts -- and there will also be call outs for freebies on SnapChat. Stuck inside? Ruthie's Instagram will share #cheesepiration with Ruthie's ideas for at-home creations.

With Ruthie's on the road, how do you get your hands on a sandwich? Here's this week's schedule, and you can catch them at a number of upcoming festivals including Frisco StrEATS, Dallas Film Festival, ManeGait Gaitapalooza and Food Truck Frenzy in Coppell.
