Andy's Frozen Custard to open first D-FW store in April

Midwesterners might be familiar with Andy's Frozen Custard, the ice cream shop that specializes in sweet treats called concretes. On April 13, the company plans to open Dallas-Fort Worth's first Andy's Frozen Custard in Carrollton.

After that opening, Andy's Frozen Custard shops are expected to pop up in Frisco, Grapevine, Lewisville and North Richland Hills in 2016.

The company is "fanatical about its custard," says a press release. Its concretes are made of frozen custard blended with fruit, nuts, candy and syrups. Here's the James Brown Funky Jackhammer, as an example: vanilla or chocolate frozen custard blended with peanut butter and brownies, then filled with hot fudge. See the full menu here.
