Texas' 42nd Hooters is now open on Lake Ray Hubbard. The 7,000 square foot restaurant looks out onto the waters, with one of its two bars situated on a large 2,000 square foot patio.

Hooters is going big in the Lone Star State, says senior vice president Mark Whittle in a press release. By year's end, the company will inch toward nearly 50 Hooters in Texas alone; Dallas-Fort Worth has more than a dozen. The restaurants have spread to 26 countries.

The new Garland Hooters will be similar in style and menu to its orange Spandex sisters the world over. It's famous for chicken wings. And other things.

The Lake Ray Hubbard area has a bustling restaurant scene, with Flying Saucer, Primo's Tex-Mex Restaurant, Gloria's Latin Cuisine and Campisi's open to lakeside customers.

Located at 4781 Bass Pro Drive, Garland.

Why is this place called 'Hooters'? We have no idea.
