From the owner behind Dallas restaurants Bistro 31 (in Highland Park Village), Toulouse (on Knox Street) and Penne Pomodoro (in Lakewood, at Preston/Forest and in University Park) comes a new Asian fusion restaurant called Kai Asian Bistro.

It will move in where the now-closed Sangria Mediterranean Tapas and Bar was, on Cole Street in Uptown.

The restaurant is expected to open in late April, according to a press release. It'll be pricey: Entrees start at $18 per person for lunch and $27 per person at dinner.

Leading the restaurant will be Richard Chen, who has worked at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago and the Wynn Las Vegas. More to come.
